Vol. 51 Sugar is really sweet for our body?
I like sweet flavor very much. Most people like sweet flavor knowing too
much is not healthy, but still wanting to eat a lot of it. Me,too. So what
should we do?
Use Brown (Unrefined) Sugar instead of White (Refined)
Sugar.
White sugar is a very dangerous food. Why? White sugar melts our bones
because it is acidic and when it goes into our body, our body tries to
neutralize it using stored minerals, especially calcium. Also the blood
has a small amount of calcium and if the calcium in the blood is lost even
a little bit, we will be in a condition where we feel irritated, lose concentration
and can't think clearly. It is called a "sugar-high", isn't it?
Let's think about this from the Eastern Medical viewpoint. Sweet taste
weakens Kidney Energy. As Kidney energy becomes weak, the bones which are
controlled by Kidney energy become weak as well. Also white sugar is basically
a chemical product and that means toxins for our body.
Liver energy has the function of detoxification and if too much white sugar
goes into our body, detoxification can't be done completely,
causing the flow of energy to stagnate and causing our mind irritation.
Since white sugar doesn't have Vitamin B1, it takes away Vitamin B1 in
our body, causing various kinds of diseases including diabetes.
On the other hand, brown (unrefined) sugar has minerals and vitamin B1.
So please use brown (unrefined) sugar, or use pure honey, maple syrup,
etc. instead of white sugar.
