It's getting cold and the season of "Catching a cold" is coming soon.
So I would like to introduce how to recover from a cold quickly.
Of course, it is better not to catch a cold. But when you catch a cold, what do you do?
Do you take medicine to reduce your fever? Actually that is not a very good idea, and after many years, western medicine agrees with this, because forcing a temperature reduction weakens the immune power and increases the chances of catching other diseases. So what to do?
The most important thing is to Create a Sweat.
The best way to do that is to Take a Half Body Bath.
Before I became an acupuncturist, I didn’t know anything about Oriental Medicine, but whenever I caught a cold, and had chills and a slight fever, I just took a bath to warm the body and went to sleep with increased sweating. The next morning I was totally recovered.
Please try this when you catch a cold.
The following is how to take a bath in each case.
Half body bathing: pour warm water just above your navel and stay in the bath.
1. Beginning of cold with chills and 100?F (38?C) or less fever
Stay in a bathtub with half body bathing for about 20 minutes at a
temperature of about 104?F (40?C), and sweat a lot.
2. Doesn’t get better, taking medication with 100~102?F (38~39?C)
fever
Before taking a bath, drink a cup of Kudzu vine soup to warm your
body from inside. How to take a bath is the same as the above.
