Diabetes, as well as high blood pressure, is caused by the weakness of the Kidneys. Diabetes is a condition in which the Kidneys cannot filter out the sugar in the blood due to the level of sugar being too high. This results in sugar leeching into the urine.
According to Western Medicine, sugar normally goes from the blood into the body's cells and changes into energy. Fat and Cholesterol block the entrance of sugar into the cells and insulin, the hormone which normally allows sugar to enter, also becomes blocked for the same reason. This causes an increased level of sugar in the blood.
According to Eastern Medicine, at first, the Spleen, which controls the flesh of the body, becomes weak. Once weakened, the flesh is then unable to retain water. This leads to a large amount of urination and weight loss. Then, the Kidneys become weak because they have to handle an abundance of urine. This condition is called Diabetes.
First of all, what has to be avoided is anything that weakens the Kidneys and thickens the blood, predominantly refined sugar (white sugar) and oil.
Sugar was already talked about in the previous description of high blood pressure.
Oil, including not only animal oil but also vegetable oil, should be avoided as much as possible. Margarine, which is coming up these days especially, is a trans fatty oil, so please be aware of it.
Next time I will talk about what to do for Diabetes.
