Vol. 2 Too much stress?

Did you try to have a bath? Its effect comes out after 2 weeks of bathing in the manner described. Also it is good to check your body temperature while you are having a bath. You can put a thermometer in your mouth and recognize your body temperature is going up faster than before. It means your blood circulation is getting better.

Today's subject continues from the last time. The following theory was given by Toru Abo, an immunologist. The view of this theory is close to Oriental Medical Theory and explains the mechanism of diseases straightforward. We always adjust our body temperature by sweating or closing pores, depending on the outside temperature.

This body temperature control is done by the autonomic nervous system (ANS). The ANS consists of the sympathetic nerve (SN) and the parasympathetic nerve (PSN). When we are not relaxed, that is, when we work, do exercise, think too much or get upset, the SN works. When we are relaxed, the PSN works. Letfs regard the SN as Stress Nerve and the PSN as Relax Nerve to make it easy to understand. When either of them works too hard, our body temperature goes down.

Today letfs think about the low body temperature caused by the SN (Stress Nerve). The condition of the tense SN (Stress Nerve) is caused by excessive mental or physical stress. Usually the PSN (Relax Nerve) works and tries to relax our body, but if we are in a stressful situation for long time, our body is unable to return to a relaxed state. For example, if you work too hard for a long period of time, your body is always in a stressful state. The SN (Stress Nerve) makes your blood vessels contracted and thin and the amount of blood in the blood vessels decreases, resulting in the low body temperature. Therefore, before your stress gets excessive, it is important for you to relax.
